“Sideways Design was the perfect partner to develop the Preservation Hall Lessons website. It was great working with a local programmer and web developer who was available when we needed responses or action and understood our unique needs as an organization.”

Profile: Preservation Hall Lessons is designed for all K-12 teachers or educational professionals that want to foster the culture and history of New Orleans music genres. The lessons can be integrated into general content areas like Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science, or beginning to advanced Music Education studies. The lessons were designed with the support of Preservation Hall musicians who not only bring subject matter expertise but foster the history and culture of New Orleans music traditions. Each lesson is built with the intent to immerse students in New Orleans culture, and create enriched learning through the arts.

Preservation Hall Lessons needed a developer to aid in the process of project organization as well as take their graphic designer’s flat mockup and implement it to create a dynamic, slick and responsive website.  What an honor to participate in such a lovely program!

We also performed basic on-site search engine optimization SEO to ensure that the site would be positioned to organically increase search engine ranking on google result search pages (SERPs).
